At first, Marius and Amanda weren’t planning to build. Like many couples, the idea of building felt overwhelming, too many choices, too much stress. But after searching the market and struggling to secure a deposit large enough to buy an existing home, they discovered that building might actually be the easier, and better, path.
“In the beginning, we thought we were going to buy a house because we didn’t want to go through all the stress of choosing things… but getting the deposit together was a big thing for us.”
With two sons leaving home and needing financial help, the 20% deposit required to buy was out of reach. Building, however, offered more flexibility, a lower deposit requirement, and the opportunity to create exactly what they wanted.

Finding the Right Support
One of the key turning points in their journey was connecting with Let’s Finance, a Redink-recommended finance partner who helped them navigate their loan options.
“The broker recommended by Redink, she was just awesome. She helped us look at all the options and got our loan approved through Bankwest. She was amazing.”
From that point forward, the path became clearer. With the right finance in place and a builder they could trust, Marius and Amanda moved confidently into the design and build process.

Navigating New Beginnings
Marius and Amanda chose a layout that suited their lifestyle perfectly. Spacious, open, and thoughtfully arranged—it gave them the room they needed without anything feeling excessive.
“The house as a whole is a pretty good design. It’s spacious, it’s big enough for us, and it’s well laid out.”
For Amanda, one space in particular became her favourite spot in the home.
“My favourite part is the outside. In the mornings when I wake up, I just go and sit outside on the veranda, appreciate the garden, and drink my coffee.”

Peace of Mind Throughout the Process
For many people, building a home can feel stressful. But Marius and Amanda were pleasantly surprised by how smoothly things went.
“There wasn’t really anything major that delayed the build. There are always small things, but even at the final inspection, it was three or four really minor issues that the supervisor picked up too. And within a week, they were fixed.”
That attention to detail and the willingness to resolve things quickly left a lasting impression.

A Reputation They Can Trust
Along the way, Marius and Amanda discovered that their choice to build with Redink Homes was a well-regarded one. Friends, neighbours, even people in the construction industry, affirmed they’d made the right decision.
“When we told people we were building with Redink, they said ‘good choice.’ Everyone had something good to say.”
Now, Marius and Amanda share the same advice.
“I would use Redink again. And everyone I know who’s thinking about building, I always say, think twice about who you build with.”
